Please note that If the fibre service is not restored after the load shedding is concluded in the Discovery area, it may be due to a physical fibre fault in the area. The fault occurred due to a power cable getting in contact with our fibre causing it to be damaged. Due to the unsafe nature, we need City power to make safe the cable for us to restore the fibre cable. We are currently looking at how we can do a temporary fix to restore services as quickly as possible. Will keep you updated on progress."

SA Digital Villages (SADV) SADV Brackenhurst Residents - like to inform you that due to the high demand for services, we are experiencing some delays.

Dear Brackenhurst Residents

Firstly, we at SA Digital Villages, would like to thank you for your continued patience, with regards to our network roll-out in Brackenhurst.

We understand that you are all excited to join our digital village and we, along with our ISP’s are eager to get you all up and running as soon as possible.

We would, however, like to inform you that due to the high demand for services, we are experiencing some delays.

Unfortunately, these delays have occurred due to unforeseen circumstances. In the short time that the network has been live, we have already experienced vandalism with many of our wall boxes thus, causing major delays as fibre has had to be re-spliced and wall boxes re-installed. If you see any suspicious activity around our street cabinets or our wall boxes, please report it to us, as soon as you can.

Further to the above, we have done an audit in the area and would like to share a maintenance plan with you, that will stretch over the course of 2019.

Please find our planned schedule, attached. Should there be any changes or deviations from this schedule, we will inform you accordingly. We have also attached the phases that the area is divided into, for ease of reference.
